How Do I Know I'm Eligible for Medicaid?

To be eligible for the Medicaid Program you must pass four tests:

Test #1: A person must be 65 or over, blind or disabled.

Test #2: You must be a Michigan resident, have a social security number, apply for all benefits for which you may be eligible, and identify any possible payment source.

Test #3: You must prove that your medical expenses are higher than your income and that your assets less than the maximum resources allowed.

Test #4: You must fully disclose all of your assets and income on an application for Medicaid, prove the truth of your application with supporting documents; and, report any changes in circumstances.
